I am a producer/director of natural history films and documentary photographer based in Bristol, UK. I have worked in 45 countries, on every continent, and specialise in remote location work, capturing the behaviour of some of the world's most spectacular wildlife and landscapes. Born in the UK, raised in Kenya as the son of two conservationists, I fell in love with the natural world at a very early age. I went on to study Biology, before joining the BBC Natural History Unit in 2001 for David Attenbourough's Life of Mammals. Since then I have made  films for the The Natural World, Planet Earth, Frozen PlanetA Year in the Wild and Great Bear Stakeout.  In 2012 I became a freelance producer and am currently directing a feature film based in Sri Lanka. As a photographer, I have published in all the major newspapers in the UK, as well as magazines such as Adventure Travel, NatGeo Traveller, Outdoor Photographer, GQ, BBC Wildlife and Trail Magazine. Some of my stills are represented by Nature Picture Library and can be found here.

Register for EG 2020.

30 April - 2 May 2020

Our team has been working hard behind the scenes to bring you a superb program for EG2020. However, in light of growing and legitimate concerns regarding the rapid spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) which have gutted international events of all sizes, we have made the difficult decision to put EG on hiatus until it is once again deemed safe.

We know how much each of you look forward to EG and we were looking forward to seeing old friends, and welcoming many new ones, but we do need to prioritize the health and safety of our attendees, presenters, and partners, especially those traveling from afar.

We will be in touch in due course with future plans.
