Emma is a producer for Planet Earth II at the BBC Natural History Unit in Bristol. Originally from Manchester, Emma worked as a shop assistant, music buyer, biology student, park ranger, zoo keeper and PhD scientist, until she got a job10 years ago on the BBC’s Life in the Undergrowth series presented by David Attenborough. Since then she has stayed at the BBC, working on a succession of epic natural history documentaries: Life, Madagascar, Life Story, Attenborough and the Giant Egg, and even Sea Otter – a Million Dollar Baby — filmed just up the road in Monterey, California.
Most recently she has travelled to rainforests around the world to produce Planet Earth II – Jungles. She now lives in Bristol with her partner, cameraman Tom Crowley, and their new daughter. When she’s at home she enjoys watching soccer, diving and kick boxing.
